Jan Urva has extensive work experience in various leadership roles in the technology and public sectors. Jan is currently the Partner and CEO at Finestmedia, a position they have held since May 2023. Prior to this, they served as the Chief Operating Officer at Finestmedia from January 2018 to April 2023. Jan also worked as the Public Sector Department Manager at Finestmedia from February 2015 to December 2017.

Before joining Finestmedia, Jan Urva worked as a PMO Officer at Playtech from January 2013 to October 2014. Jan also served as the Head of Project Management Department at the IT and Development Centre at the Estonian Ministry of the Interior (SMIT) from March 2009 to December 2012. Prior to that, they worked as the CIO at the Citizenship and Migration Board. Ministry of Interior from March 2007 to March 2009.

At the beginning of their career, Jan Urva held the position of CEO at monIT solutions Llc from March 2003 to January 2007. Jan also worked as the IT Development Manager at Reaalaja Llc from February 2001 to March 2003.

Jan Urva obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Computer and Systems Engineering from TalTech – Tallinn University of Technology. This educational achievement occurred between the years 1997 and 2002. Prior to this, Jan attended Viljandi Maagümnaasium from 1985 to 1997, but no specific degree or field of study is mentioned. In 1994 and 1995, Jan studied Informatics at The Gifted and Talented Development Centre. Later, Jan pursued a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Business Information Technology from TalTech – Tallinn University of Technology, which took place from 2011 to 2012. Jan also earned the ITIL v3 certification from EXIN, a competence partner for ICT, in February 2012.
