Elaine C.

Elaine C. has extensive work experience in various roles and industries. Elaine started their career as a Bilingual Research Assistant at the Medical University of South Carolina in 2004 and later worked as a Medical Interpreter at Duke University Health System from 2008 to 2010. During this time, they provided interpretation services to Spanish-speaking families and was recognized for their outstanding service.

In 2010, Elaine joined the Universidad de Puerto Rico as a Graduate Research Assistant. Elaine conducted interviews and field observations to identify best practices in arts-based approaches to health promotion and rehabilitation. Elaine also compiled and presented related recommendations at international conferences.

Elaine then worked at the Austin Police Department from 2012 to 2015 as a Liaison for the Refugee and Immigrant Community. In this role, they facilitated communication between the police department and the community.

In 2015, Elaine joined El Buen Samaritano as the Manager of the Patient Navigation Department. Elaine played a key role in developing the department and contributed to achieving El Buen's Level 3 NCQA Recognition as a Patient Centered Medical Home. Additionally, they led a team providing intake, referral, care coordination, and health education services to uninsured and underinsured Latinx patients.

From 2017 to 2020, Elaine worked at Healthy Futures of Texas as a Project Manager. Elaine led an Executive Committee in successfully completing a $1.6M project aimed at improving service delivery to adolescents at Texas health centers. Elaine also curated a digital resource library on healthytxyouth.

Most recently, Elaine joined findhelp in 2020. Elaine has held multiple roles within the company, including Community Engagement Manager and Senior Community Engagement Manager. In these positions, they collaborated with cross-functional teams, developed team guides and toolkits for partner onboarding, and advised customers on engagement goals and strategies. Notably, they increased the regional partnership base by 35% through strategic social care initiatives.

Elaine C. has a Master of Public Health Education (MPHE) degree from the Universidad de Puerto Rico. Elaine also has a Master of Translation, Interpreting, and Intercultural Studies degree from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. Elaine obtained a Bachelor of Science in Psychology degree from the College of Charleston, with a minor in Spanish. Additionally, they have several certifications, including PMBOK Project Management Training from Central Health in June 2016, Bridging the Gap Medical Interpreter Training from The Cross Cultural Health Care Program (CCHCP) in September 2008, and a Certificado de Español Lengua y Uso (Nivel: Avanzado Excelente) from Consorcio ELSE in November 2006.
