Okello Peter is an experienced journalist and media professional currently serving as a correspondent for The Guardian Newspaper since July 2016, focusing on topics related to conflicts, economic development, and politics. Okello has also worked as a sub-editor for The Refugee Magazine with FilmAid International, where editing articles on refugee issues is a primary responsibility. Additional roles include Executive Director for Press and Media at Boma State Secretariat, where Okello organizes press releases and writes speeches for the Governor. Previous positions include Production Manager at Jonglei Public Radio, Senior Project Coordinator for Anyuak Recovery Trust, and English Teacher at Windle Trust International in IFO refugee camp. Okello’s education includes a degree in Journalism and Mass Communications from Zetech University, as well as advanced diploma and diploma qualifications in communication and public relations.
