Damu Nampoothiri has extensive work experience, beginning in 1998 as a Consultant at Quilogy. Damu then moved to Ramp Technology, Inc. in 2005 as a Developer. In 2009, they became a Senior Software Engineer at Motricity before joining BizLibrary in 2012 as an Application Developer and Independent Contractor. In 2018, they began working as a Senior Software Engineer at FileOnQ - Platform Solutions.

Damu Nampoothiri attended Loyola School, Trivandrum from 1981 to 1988. Damu then went on to pursue a BTech in Civil Engg from Indian Institute of Technology, Madras from 1992 to 1996. Damu Nampoothiri continued their education at Missouri University of Science and Technology from 1996 to 1998, studying Civil Engineering.
