Toan N. has a diverse and extensive work experience in various roles and companies. Toan currently holds the position of Lead Data Engineer at Figment since 2022. Prior to this, they worked as a Senior Data Engineer at Horizon Blockchain Games Inc. from 2021 to 2022.

Before joining Figment and Horizon Blockchain Games Inc., Toan N. served as the Director of Engineering at Smile.io from 2019 to 2021. In this role, they focused on team growth, career development, and forming SRE and data teams to establish Smile.io as the loyalty layer for Shopify and other eCommerce platforms.

Toan N.'s experience also includes working as a Data Architect at Prodigy Education from 2018 to 2019. Toan was responsible for building a data platform from scratch, including data instrumentation, pipeline development, data modeling, and PoC of various tools for a modern data lakehouse architecture.

Prior to Prodigy Education, Toan N. served as the Sr. Director of Technology at Big Viking Games in 2017 and as an Engineering Manager at Glu Mobile from 2016 to 2017. At Glu Mobile, they led a team to build the backend infrastructure and frontend for a social network for Taylor Swift called The Swift Life.

Toan N. also worked as a Sr. Product Manager at Magmic from 2014 to 2015, where they created an internal data platform using open-source technologies to power the app store and provide personalized offers to players. Before Magmic, they were a Producer at Glu Mobile, overseeing the development of the hit mobile game Kim Kardashian: Hollywood.

Earlier in their career, Toan N. worked at Capcom as a Sr. Project Manager and Engineering Lead, leading initiatives for the Google AppStore and producing successful games such as Lil Pirates. Toan also gained experience in Blackberry Enterprise Server support at BlackBerry from 2004 to 2005.
