Maxwell Gumley has a diverse work experience in software engineering and computer network and cryptography technician roles. Maxwell started their career in 2007 with the USAF as a Computer Network and Cryptography Technician, where they received awards and recognition for their performance and knowledge of routers, switches, and VoIP systems. Maxwell then transitioned to the private sector, working as a Research and Development Engineer at Akela Inc., developing multi-threaded software for radar systems. Later, they joined Blue River Technology as a Software Engineer, where they refactored a graphical data analysis tool and created a real-time hardware system GUI. Maxwell also worked as a Software Engineer at Numerica Corporation, developing software to bridge networks and translate proprietary protocols for the U.S. military. Most recently, they worked at Fifth Gait Technologies, Inc. as a Software Engineer, independently creating a graphical desktop application and Python bindings for C++ APIs. Maxwell'sexperience includes using technologies such as Qt, Pandas, NumPy, PyTest, and H5py.

Maxwell Gumley completed their Bachelor's Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from UC Santa Barbara between 2013 and 2015.
