Earl Watkins

Radiation Effects Electrical Engineer / Physicist at Fifth Gait Technologies

Earl Watkins has a diverse work experience in the field of electrical engineering. Earl started their most recent role as an Electrical Engineer at Fifth Gait Technologies, Inc. in November 2021. Prior to that, they worked as an Electrical Engineer at Colorado Engineering Inc from June 2017 to September 2021, where they were responsible for designing and requirements of projects, including a high-density, low-frequency analog to digital board. Earl also utilized their skills in signal conditioning and board monitoring and control. Before that, they worked as the MakerSpace Student Director at Fort Hays State University from August 2013 to May 2015. In this role, Earl provided technical leadership for students and supported various groups involved in STEM education.

Earl Watkins began their education in 2006 at Hutchinson Community College, where they pursued an Associate of Applied Science degree in Construction-Residential. Earl completed this program in 2008. Later, in 2012, Watkins enrolled in Fort Hays State University, majoring in Physics. Earl obtained their Bachelor's Degree from Fort Hays State University in 2015. Watkins furthered their education at Kansas State University from 2015 to 2017, earning a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. Currently, Watkins is pursuing a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs, which is expected to be completed in 2024.
