Melissa Silverstein is an accomplished intellectual property attorney with extensive experience in managing intellectual property portfolios and technology commercialization. Currently serving as Senior Assistant General Counsel at Helen of Troy since January 2019, Melissa oversees the company’s worldwide intellectual property portfolio, which includes notable brands such as Drybar and Hydro Flask. Prior to this role, Melissa founded a law firm specializing in intellectual property management, served as Director of the Office of Technology Commercialization at The University of Texas at El Paso, and held various positions in patent law, including Of Counsel at OL PATENTS. Melissa holds a Doctor of Law (J.D.) from Texas A&M University School of Law and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from The University of Texas at San Antonio.
