Ron Hooijenga is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in journalism, communication, and copywriting. Currently serving as Redacteur Op Eigen Kracht at Fietsersbond since December 2018, Ron also works as a Communicatieadviseur at Juridisch Bureau Letselschade & Gezondheidsrecht since 2014 and has been a freelance copywriter for Gemeente Assen since 2000. Ron’s copywriting includes creating names for various initiatives, such as the overarching administrative body for public education in Assen, named Plateau, and the Transposia computer game, SokkenSoep. In addition, Ron has a long-standing role as a Tekstschrijver at Het Resultaat since 1982, producing Dutch songs, columns, and blogs. Prior journalism experience includes a notable tenure at Dagblad van het Noorden from 1981 to 2014, where Ron held positions in both editorial and reporting roles, and at Weekblad Schuttevaer from 1980 to 1981. Ron holds degrees from the School voor de Journalistiek in Utrecht and the Universiteit Groningen.
