Ayesha T. Qazi-Lampert is an accomplished professional in the fields of science education and community engagement, currently serving as an Associate in Science & Education at The Field Museum since April 2017. In this role, Ayesha facilitates collaboration across various science and education centers and teaches full-time. Ayesha also works as a Scientific Affiliate, contributing to projects that apply microplants in educational programs, and has successfully published research in Applications in Plant Sciences Journal. In addition to these roles, Ayesha coordinates the Green Ambassadors Internship program, supporting high school students in environmental education. Ayesha has been teaching AP Environmental Science and Honors Biology at Northside College Prep since August 2017 and has held various positions in educational settings, including coordinator of the Global Youth Ambassadors program and multiple roles supporting student learning in technology and tutoring. Ayesha holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biology, a Master’s degree in Science Teacher Education, and is pursuing a PhD in Mathematics and Science Education at the University of Illinois at Chicago.
