Abdel Hafiz Abdel Moniem has a diverse and extensive work experience in the engineering and construction industry. Abdel Hafiz currently serves as the Discipline Head at the FIDIC Academy, where they oversee the Contract-Use Discipline and promotes best practices and standards in the global engineering and construction industry. Abdel Hafiz Abdel Moniem has a diverse education history. Abdel Hafiz completed their secondary education at Comboni College Khartoum, where they obtained their GCE (O-levels) degree from 1979 to 1992. Following this, they pursued a Bachelor of Engineering Honours degree in Civil Engineering from Sudan University for Science and Technology, graduating between 1993 and 1998. Later, they pursued further education at Loughborough University from 1999 to 2000, where they obtained a Master of Science degree in Construction Project Management.
In addition to their formal education, Abdel Hafiz Abdel Moniem has also obtained several certifications. Abdel Hafiz became a Chartered Civil Engineer (CEng) through the Engineering Council in May 2007. In the same year, they also became a Corporate Member (MCIHT) of the Chartered Institution of Highways & Transportation (CIHT), and a Corporate Member (MICE) of the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE). In 2008, they achieved the Sudan Engineering Council Specialist Grade certification. Most recently, in January 2020, they obtained the Associate Member (ACIArb) status from the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators.
