Vadim Uchitel

Lead Subject Matter Expert (backend) / Team Lead / Tech Lead at Fetch

Vadim Uchitel has over 28 years of work experience in the field of software engineering. Vadim started their career at Orbit Software as a Software Engineer from 1992 to 1995. At CFDRC, they worked as a Senior Software Engineer and Group Leader from 1997 to 2004, where they integrated various software applications and developed custom GUI frameworks using languages like Python, C++, and Java. Vadim then joined ESI-GROUP as a Software Technical Manager from 2004 to 2006, where they led a development team in building CFD-CADalyzerâ„¢, a highly regarded software that received recognition from Desktop Engineering magazine. At SAIC, Vadim worked as a Senior Software Engineer from 2006 to 2013. During their time at Leidos from 2013 to 2017, they served as a Lead Software Engineer and was responsible for developing bdStudio, a visualization tool widely used in multiple NASA labs. More recently, Vadim has worked at Shipt as a Senior Software Engineer and Team Lead from 2017 to 2020, and they are currently working at Fetch as a Lead Subject Matter Expert, Team Lead, and Tech Lead since June 2020.

Vadim Uchitel has a strong educational background in the field of computer science and mathematics. Vadim obtained a Master's degree in Computer Science from The University of Alabama in Huntsville from 1999 to 2001. Prior to that, they pursued a Master's degree in Mathematics at the same university from 1996 to 1998.

Before their studies in the United States, Vadim Uchitel attended the South Russian State Technical University (Novocherkassk Polytechnic Institute) from 1991 to 1995, where they obtained a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering.

In addition to their academic achievements, Vadim Uchitel also holds various certifications. Vadim completed the "Building Resilience" certification at LinkedIn in April 2021. Earlier that year, in March 2021, they completed certifications in "Software Architecture: From Developer to Architect" and "Speaking Confidently and Effectively," both also from LinkedIn.
