Chuck Pitzer has a long and varied work experience in the engineering field. Chuck began their career in 1997 as an Application Engineer and Mechanica Implementation Specialist at PTC. In 2000, they became a Design and Simulation Consultant at Boeing Satellite Systems - Pitzer Consulting. After that, they worked as a Contract Mechanical Engineer at Raytheon Space and Airborne Systems from 2004 to 2009. From 2009 to 2010, they were the Owner and Licensed PE, Machine Design and Simulation Specialist at Pitzer Consulting. Chuck then moved on to Panasonic Avionics Corporation as a Contract Design Engineer from 2010 to 2012. After that, they were a Senior Mechanical Engineer at Applied Minds from 2012 to 2013. Chuck then moved on to Neato Robotics as a Mechanical Engineering Manager and Senior Mechanical Engineer from 2013 to 2019. Chuck then joined Fetch Robotics as Director of Hardware Engineering, Staff Mechanical Engineer, and Senior Mechanical Engineer from 2019 to 2021. Finally, they joined Zebra Technologies as a Principal Engineer in 2021.
Chuck Pitzer obtained a Bachelor's degree and a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Florida between 1991 and 1997. In 2006, they obtained a MS in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of California, Los Angeles. In 2005, they obtained a Professionally Licensed Engineer certification from the California Department of Consumer Affairs. In 2014, they obtained an iOS Operation: Models certification from Code School. Chuck also has certifications in Artificial Intelligence for Robotics, Core iOS 7, Exploring Google Maps for iOS, Try Git, Try Objective-C, Try iOS, and iOS Operation: MapKit from Code School, though the exact dates of these certifications are unknown.
