Rodrigo Illan Garcia is a seasoned rail project engineer with extensive experience in railway infrastructure and construction management. Currently serving as a Rail Project Engineer at Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat de Catalunya since March 2023, Rodrigo previously held the position of Infrastructure, Railway Track and Systems Manager at Inse Rail, where involvement included the construction of the new railway link to Barcelona Airport. With prior roles at INECO, including Deputy Project Manager and Senior Rail Engineer, Rodrigo managed various railway projects in Spain, overseeing aspects of infrastructure, electrification, and track construction. Additionally, experience includes significant projects in Singapore and Southeast Asia, and a research trainee position at Universidad Politécnica de Madrid. Rodrigo holds a Master's degree in Design, Construction, and Maintenance of Infrastructures and Railway Systems from Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, alongside two additional Master's and a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
