Søren Kragh Jespersen has a diverse range of work experience in the medical device industry. Søren Kragh has held various leadership positions and successfully managed multiple projects throughout their career.
Starting in 1997, Jespersen worked as a Development Engineer at B-K Medical, where they developed embedded signal processing software and collaborated with international teams. Søren Kragh then briefly worked as a Research Assistant at the Technical University of Denmark.
In 2000, Jespersen joined Novo Nordisk A/S, initially serving as a System Architect and Group Manager. Søren Kragh specialized in project management of medical device development projects, including mechanics, hardware, software, and MMI aspects. Søren Kragh later became a Manager and Senior Project Manager, leading a highly prioritized device development project with international partners.
In 2011, Jespersen joined Dansac A/S as a Senior Project Manager in New Product Development, where they contributed to the development of new product variants.
From 2012 to 2013, Jespersen worked as the Director of Systems Engineering at Oticon A/S and William Demant Holding, leading the establishment of Systems Engineering and transforming it into a well-defined process.
In 2013, Jespersen joined LEO Pharma A/S as a Senior Project Leader in the Project Management Office, where they were responsible for preparing the company's medical device development procedures for ISO13485 certification and leading a user-friendly drug container project.
In 2014, Jespersen became the Vice President of R&D at DDD-Diagnostic A/S, where they completed a major turn-around of the R&D department, improved employee satisfaction, and managed project prioritization, budgets, and external contracts.
Since 2017, Jespersen has been working at Ferring Pharmaceuticals as the Vice President of Global Device R&D. Søren Kragh has reorganized and professionalized the medical device R&D function, overseeing research, development, product maintenance, and discontinuation activities.
Søren Kragh Jespersen began their education by completing a Studentereksamen in Mathematics and Physics from Kalundborg gymnasium in 1986. Søren Kragh then pursued a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Electrical Engineering with a focus on Medical electronics and diagnostic ultrasound scanning at DTU - Technical University of Denmark from 1989 to 1994. Following this, Søren went on to earn a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Industrial Research PhD with a specialization in Diagnostic ultrasound from the same university, completing their degree in 1997. Lastly, they obtained a certification as a project manager from DiEU, where they completed the Certified project manager program from 1997 to 2004.
