Mads Hougaard is a seasoned HR professional with extensive experience in leading HR strategies and initiatives. Currently serving as the Senior HR Director and Head of HR Denmark IPC at Ferring Pharmaceuticals since September 2022, Mads is tasked with developing the People Strategy for Denmark IPC, focusing on talent acquisition and local implementation of global HR initiatives. Prior to this role, Mads spent over 16 years at Lundbeck, holding various positions including Senior Director of People & Organizational Development, where responsibilities included overseeing global programs and supporting strategic transformation. Mads also served as a Senior P&O Director for Global Commercial Operations and provided strategic HR support as an Executive Assistant HR/Project Manager. Earlier career experience includes roles at Michelin, where Mads was the Nordic HR Manager, and positions with Økonomistyrelsen and IKEA Ltd. Mads holds a Master’s degree in International Business Administration from Copenhagen Business School and has studied at the University of Leeds.
