Ekaterine Bakhtadze Bagci has extensive work experience in the medical and pharmaceutical fields. Ekaterine currently holds the position of Senior Medical Director at Ferring Pharmaceuticals since September 2022. Prior to their current role, they worked at Novo Nordisk as a Senior International Medical Manager from February 2018 to August 2022 and as a Principal Scientist in Epidemiology from September 2009 to January 2018. Ekaterine also served as a Senior Medical Affairs Manager at Novo Nordisk Region Europe A/S from September 2019 to May 2020.

Before joining Novo Nordisk, Ekaterine pursued a Ph.D. in genetics of diabetes at Lund University from February 2003 to February 2009. Ekaterine also worked as a Medical Specialist in endocrinology and clinical laboratory medicine at the National Institute of Endocrinology from February 1999 to February 2003. Ekaterine gained experience as a General Practice Physician at Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) from April 2001 to August 2002. Their early career includes working as a Medical Sales Representative at Alcon Laboratories, Inc. from February 1998 to January 1999.

Ekaterine Bakhtadze Bagci obtained their Medical Doctor degree in Medicine from AIETI Umaghlesi Sameditsino Skola during the years 1993 to 1998. Currently, they are pursuing a degree in Clinical and Industrial Drug Development from Københavns Universitet - University of Copenhagen, expected to be completed in 2024.
