Olivier CAGNAC, Ph.D. is an experienced R&D and Industrialization Manager with a focus on algae biorefinery projects at FERMENTALG since February 2013, currently serving as the Head of Extraction Purification & Industrialization. CAGNAC's expertise includes project strategy design, matrix management, industrial scale-up of fermentation and extraction processes, and integration of intellectual property and regulatory considerations. Previously, CAGNAC held positions such as Head of Experimental Innovation and Senior Researcher in Cell Biology at FERMENTALG, where the optimization of industrial production of DHA and Phycocyanin was a primary focus. CAGNAC's earlier roles include post-doctoral fellowships at the Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas and UC Davis, specializing in plant and yeast transporter characterization. CAGNAC completed a PhD in Cell Biology and Biochemistry at Université de Poitiers.
