Mikko Virtanen is currently the CIO and Site Director at Fennovoima since April 2015, overseeing information management and site maintenance for the Hanhikivi-1 Nuclear Power Plant project. Previously, Mikko served as Chief Information Officer, leading a department of over 30 personnel to provide IT infrastructure and information management services for Fennovoima Corporation. Prior roles include Director of the Project Office at Fennovoima, Product Manager at Tekla specializing in BIM software solutions, and various leadership positions at Quattrogemini focusing on project services and control for major engineering and construction projects. Mikko's career began as a Project Engineer at Rakennusgemini Oy. Mikko holds a Master’s degree in Civil Engineering from Teknillinen korkeakoulu-Tekniska högskolan, obtained between 1995 and 2002.
