Before that, Steve worked at Praemittias Systems LLC as a Senior Principle Software Engineer and at BIT Systems as an Architect/Senior Principal Software Engineer. Their responsibilities included leading software development teams, implementing system architectures, and designing cross-network replication solutions. Steve also worked at ITT Exelis as a Principal Application Software Development Engineer and at USA Self Employed as a Software Engineer/CEO, focusing on data mining and software development. Early in their career, they were a Software Engineer at General Dynamics.
Steve Fisher completed their education with a Master's Degree in Information Systems from George Mason University, which they pursued from 1999 to 2002. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Penn State University, where they studied from 1996 to 1999. Steve also holds an Associate degree in Computer Science from Penn State University, which they obtained from 1994 to 1996. In addition to their academic achievements, Steve Fisher has obtained several certifications. Steve became a Licensed Instructor in Instructional Foundations in Women's Self-Defense from 500Rising in June 2022. In 2016, they earned the Oracle Certified Associate, Java SE 8 Programmer certification from Oracle. Steve also obtained the CompTIA Security+ certification from CompTIA in August 2015.
