Maria Cecília Melo has extensive experience in the financial and technology sectors, currently serving as a member of the founding team at Nexa Finance since April 2024, where the focus is on merging traditional finance with innovative technology for investment solutions. As a council member and volunteer at Female Force Latam since June 2022, Maria works to empower women entrepreneurs in the Latin American tech industry through mentorship and networking initiatives. Previously, Maria held the role of Head of Community and Operations Manager at MAYA Capital, a venture capital firm, from May 2022 to March 2024. Additionally, from February 2018 to May 2022, Maria was a Partner and Head of Investor Relations at TERA Capital. Early career experiences include internships at Itaú and CJE - Consultoria Júnior de Economia FGV, along with a project coordinator position focused on financial advisory and market analysis. Maria holds a degree in Economics from FGV - Fundação Getulio Vargas, completed in 2018.
