Lei Yang is an accomplished engineering leader with extensive experience in the technology sector. Currently serving as Vice President of Engineering at LinkedIn since March 2022, Lei oversees a team of over 500 engineers responsible for core consumer products, with teams distributed globally. Prior to LinkedIn, Lei held the position of Vice President of Engineering at Twitter, driving significant advancements in AI and personalization systems for the platform. Lei's career began at Google, where various technical roles involved contributions to critical product areas, and continued at Quora as Head of Engineering, overseeing the company's technological developments. Lei holds a Ph.D. in Computer Engineering from Northwestern University and a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Peking University.
