Michele Cancio began their work experience in 1985 as an Electronics Engineer at the Naval Air Warfare Center, Aircraft Division. Michele was responsible for software implementation and system validation of sound navigation and ranging processors. From 1995 to 2000, they worked as a Programmer Analyst at Astea International, where they interacted with clients and developed code to enhance a standard software product. From 2000 to 2009, Cancio worked at Content Data Solutions, Inc. as a Software Quality Engineer, reviewing documents, generating test plans, and coordinating testing activities. From 2009 to 2021, they held the role of Software Quality Assurance Lead and Business Process Analyst at Thomas, analyzing requirements, participating in agile meetings, and performing testing activities. In 2021, Cancio joined Xometry as a Software Quality Assurance Lead, troubleshooting data flows and processes, participating in testing and compliance activities. Michele currently holds the position of Business Analyst-Record Management at Feith Systems since 2023.

Michele Cancio holds a Master's degree in Engineering Science from Penn State Great Valley. They also have a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Penn State University. In addition to their formal education, Michele has obtained two certifications: Lean Six Sigma Foundations from LinkedIn (obtained in March 2023) and Learning REST APIs from LinkedIn (obtained in February 2023).
