Ernst ter Horst is a seasoned architect and academic with extensive experience in project leadership and design. Currently serving as a School Governor at Oswald Road Primary School and a Visiting Critic at both Manchester School of Architecture and the University of Liverpool, Ernst combines volunteer advisory roles with professional expertise. As a Senior Associate at Feilden Clegg Bradley Studios since 2016, Ernst has contributed to significant projects including the Circle Square Manchester and Trafford Civic Quarter Masterplans. Prior experience includes founding Mecanoo's Manchester office, where Ernst was project architect for the acclaimed HOME cultural landmark, and serving as Project Director at SimpsonHaugh and Partners, overseeing the Beetham Hilton Hotel Tower’s award-winning development. Ernst holds multiple architecture degrees from The University of Manchester and The University of Newcastle, Australia.
