Brian Madigan has worked in a variety of industries since 2007. In 2007, they were an Environmental Educator and Program Coordinator at Newfound Harbor Marine Institute. In 2008, they worked as an Environmental Consultant at Ironwood Consulting Inc. From 2009 to 2011, they were a Project Manager and Researcher at The Patel Center for Global Solutions and a Corporate Sustainability Consultant at The Nature Conservancy. Brian also worked as an Independent Consultant from 2009 to 2012. Since 2012, they have been the Director of Business Development at FEECO International, Inc., a company founded in 1951 that develops solutions for companies worldwide.

Brian Madigan obtained their MBA in Marketing & Sustainable Enterprise from the University of South Florida between 2008 and 2010. Prior to that, they obtained a B.S. in Environmental Science & Political Science (Double Major) from Northern Michigan University between 2002 and 2006. Brian also studied Conservation Biology at UNSW.
