Jacob ("Jake") Boomsaad currently serves as an Associate at Fee, Smith, Sharp & Vitullo, LLP, having joined the firm in November 2017. Prior experience includes a role as a Judicial Intern for The Honorable Judge Don D. Bush in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, and an Intellectual Property Externship at Womble Carlyle Sandridge & Rice, LLP, where Jacob engaged in research and drafting related to patent claim construction and trademark negotiations. Additional externships and internships at Medical Mutual Insurance Company of North Carolina and the Raleigh City Attorney’s Office provided valuable legal research experience. Prior to entering the legal field, Jacob served in the Texas Army National Guard and the United States Army as a Combat Medic and Healthcare Specialist, earning commendations for exemplary service. Jacob holds a Doctor of Law (JD) from Wake Forest University School of Law and a Bachelor of Science with Highest Honors in Biology from The University of Texas at San Antonio.
