Rob Valletta's work experience is as follows:

- From 1995 to present, they worked at the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco. Rob started as a Research Economist and later became a Vice President. Currently, they are the Senior Vice President and Associate Director of Research, overseeing and guiding a team of economists and other staff.

- In 2000, they briefly worked as a Research Economist at the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD).

- From 1987 to 1995, they worked at UC Irvine, where they started as a Lecturer and later became an Assistant Professor of Economics.

Rob Valletta obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Economics from the University of California, Berkeley from 1979 to 1982. Rob then pursued further education at Harvard University, where they earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Economics from 1982 to 1987.
