Mike Aiken has extensive work experience in the legal and financial industries. Mike has held various roles throughout their career, starting as a Freelance TV Reporter in 2003. Mike then worked as an Attorney at Patton Boggs LLP, specializing in merger and acquisition transactions and bankruptcy litigation. Mike later became a Senior Attorney at Sally Beauty Company, managing a diverse litigation docket and handling contract negotiations.
In 2008, Mike Aiken founded Aiken & Associates PLLC, where they worked as an Attorney and Founding Member for nearly a decade. During this time, they gained expertise in audit and compliance as the Audit and Compliance Counsel at Buckley Madole, P.C. Mike'sresponsibilities included ensuring compliance with mortgage servicing settlements, overseeing eviction practices, and managing a team.
In 2010, Mike Aiken joined Encore Capital Group as a Division Manager, overseeing consumer bankruptcy processing and litigation. Mike also managed a network of local counsel in federal jurisdictions and conducted quality control reviews. Additionally, they served as the Chairman of the Board of Directors at Student Media Company, Inc.
From 2012 to 2013, Mike Aiken held the position of Senior Vice President of Operations at National Bankruptcy Services, LLC. In this role, they were responsible for the day-to-day operations of bankruptcy and foreclosure production environments. Mike demonstrated problem-solving skills and effectively utilized litigation management to meet client needs.
From 2014 to 2018, Mike Aiken worked at Rushmore Loan Management Services LLC as a Vice President and Litigation Attorney. Mike managed an active docket of litigation cases, supervised a team of legal professionals, and provided guidance on servicing and regulatory issues related to bankruptcy.
Currently, Mike Aiken is the Senior Vice President and Associate General Counsel - Servicing/Litigation at Fay Servicing, LLC. In this role, they manage the litigation department and resolves lending-related cases, negotiates financial transaction contracts, and oversees vendor supply contracts.
Mike Aiken obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism with a specialization in Radio/TV News from San Diego State University, where they studied from 1988 to 1992. Later, they pursued a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree in Civil Law at Loyola University New Orleans College of Law from 2000 to 2004. Finally, Aiken completed their education with a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree in Corporate Finance from the Southern Methodist University - Cox School of Business, where they studied from 2008 to 2010.
