Jacob Hoffman has a diverse work experience in various companies and roles. Jacob began their career in 2014 as a Research Assistant at the Veterans Affairs Hospital, where they co-authored a publication on Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy. In 2015, they worked as a Baseball Operations and Data Analytics Intern with the Oakland Athletics. In 2016, they interned as a Software Engineer at Microsoft and also served as a CS106 Section Leader at Stanford University. In 2017, they had a Software Engineering Internship at Zymergen, Inc. and in 2018, they worked as a Software Engineering Intern at Verily Life Sciences. Later in 2018, they became a CS221 Course Assistant at Stanford University. From 2019 to 2023, they worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Neuralink. Currently, they are employed as a Senior Software Engineer at Fathom, starting in March 2023.

Jacob Hoffman attended Stanford University from 2013 to 2018, where they pursued studies in Computer Science. From 2013 to 2017, they completed their undergraduate studies in Computer Science. Then, they went on to pursue a Master of Science degree in Computer Science from 2017 to 2018 at the same institution.
