An Vu has a long history of work experience. Starting in 2008 as an Office Temporary at McArthur, An Vu then moved to Tonkin Consulting as an Undergraduate Engineer. In 2010, An Vu took on a Casual Research Assistant role at the University of Adelaide, and in 2012, An Vu became a Java Developer and M204 Developer at the Australian Government Department of Human Services. From 2017 to 2020, An Vu was a Frontend Developer at Oakton and Alcidion. Most recently, in 2022, An Vu began working as a Frontend Developer at Fat Zebra.

An Vu completed a Bachelor of Civil and Environmental Engineering / Bachelor of Maths and Computer Science from the University of Adelaide from 2006 to 2011. Subsequently, An Vu obtained a Professional Certificate in Web Accessibility Compliance from the University of South Australia.
