Martin Bennell is a seasoned recruitment professional with extensive experience in the shipping, maritime, and oil and gas sectors. Since September 2013, Martin has served as Chief Operating Officer at Faststream Recruitment Group, a global specialist in recruitment with a focus on EMEA, Asia-Pacific, and Americas regions. Prior to this role, Martin contributed to Matchtech from October 2000 to July 2013, ascending from Recruitment Consultant to Divisional Manager, where responsibilities included developing key sectors such as Scientific, Power & Nuclear, Oil & Gas, and Renewable Energy, helping establish Matchtech as the UK's largest engineering recruitment agency. Martin began a career in the public sector as a Sports Development Officer at Portsmouth City Council from 1998 to 2000, promoting health and fitness in schools. Martin holds a BA (Hons) in Economics and Geography from the University of Portsmouth, earned between 1995 and 1998.
