Chase Barrett

Principal API Software Engineer at Fastpath

Chase Barrett has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Chase began their career in 1998 as a Software Engineer at GTE Government Systems, where they integrated document indexing and search capabilities into the InfoWorkSpace (IWS) product. Chase then joined General Dynamics Electronic Systems in 2000 as a Software Lead, where they architected the security infrastructure for the second generation of IWS.

In 2001, Chase moved to Ezenia!, Inc. as a Software Lead for the infrastructure team, responsible for backend services in the IWS secure instant messenger. During their time there, they extended the certificate login capabilities of IWS by adding support for the IETF Public-Key Infrastructure.

In 2003, Chase joined Master Solutions, LLC as a Software Engineer, working on critical enhancements to the Space Battle Management Core Systems (SBMCS). Chase redesigned the SBMCS client-server interface, enabling version independence and integrating the system with third-party systems through Web Service exposure.

Chase then joined Intelligent Software Solutions in 2005 as a Senior Software Engineer, later becoming an Engineering Director and then an Enterprise Engineering Director. Chase provided architectural guidance and engineering oversight for the development of the WebTAS Enterprise platform, a suite of services for data integration, visualization, analysis, and security. Additionally, they led the development of the CIDNE incident reporting system (IRS) based on the WE platform.

In 2013, Chase joined Springblox as a Professional Services Consultant and Trainer, specializing in solutions architecture, system integration, implementation, and training services centered on the Mule ESB. Chase worked with clients including Intel, Universal Music Group, and Charles Schwab.

From 2015 to 2016, Chase worked at DN2K as a Senior Architect, before joining PEGRight in 2016 as a Principal Software Engineer. Chase then joined ideiio in 2019, where they served as a Principal Software Engineer.

Most recently, in 2022, Chase joined Fastpath Solutions, LLC as the Principal API Software Engineer.

Chase Barrett attended the United States Air Force Academy from 1988 to 1992, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Astronautical Engineering, with a focus on Control Theory. In addition to their formal education, Chase also obtained various certifications, including being a Pivotal Cloud Foundry Associate Practitioner from Pivotal Software, Inc. in December 2014, a Certified MuleSoft Trainer from MuleSoft Inc. in September 2013, and a Certified MuleSoft Developer from MuleSoft Inc. in June 2013.
