Cem Turken is an experienced Senior Price Reporter specializing in the Turkish steel and scrap market at Fastmarkets since December 2012. Responsibilities include writing daily market stories and producing daily and weekly prices and indices for steel, billet, and scrap. Prior to this role, Cem worked as a Freelance Editor from September to November 2012, focusing on the steel industry in Turkey and the Middle East. From July 2008 to September 2012, Cem served as the Editor and local leader of the Bursa office for Platts. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Middle/Near Eastern and Semitic Languages, Literatures, and Linguistics from Ankara University (1997-2003) and attendance at Işıklar Military High School (1993-1997).
