Rabia Maqsood

Rabia Maqsood has an extensive work experience in the field of academia and research. Rabia started their career as an Instructor and Teaching Assistant at FAST-NUCES, Lahore Campus from January 2010 to June 2011. During this time, they taught courses in Introduction to Computer Science, Computer Programming, Operating Systems, and Human Computer Interaction (HCI).

Rabia then joined FAST-NUCES, Faisalabad Campus as an Instructor in August 2012 and later became a Lecturer from January 2013 to July 2014. In August 2014, they were promoted to the position of Assistant Professor, where they continue to work.

In 2018, Rabia Maqsood worked as a Visiting Researcher at the University of Cordoba under the supervision of Prof. Sebastian Ventura. Rabia analyzed and modeled students' sequential traces using probabilistic models.

In December 2018, they conducted a tutorial on Modeling Sequential Data with Markov Chains using R at the SIMPDA 2018 Eighth International Symposium on Data-Driven Process Discovery and Analysis.

In 2019, Rabia Maqsood worked as a Researcher at Khalifa University, where they developed an incremental heuristic solution for automation and optimization of fire alarm systems installed inside buildings. The solution was designed for the Etisalat telecommunications company.

From 2003 to 2007, they attended the University of Agriculture, Faisalabad, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Science.

Subsequently, between 2008 and 2010, they pursued their Master of Science (MS) degree in Computer Science at the National University of Computer and Emerging Sciences.

Lastly, from 2016 to 2020, Rabia enrolled in the Università degli Studi di Milano, where they successfully completed their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Computer Science.
