Nina Caplin currently serves as a Knowledge Lawyer in the Banking and Financial Services team at Farrer & Co since July 2023. Prior to this role, Nina held various senior associate positions at the Financial Conduct Authority from September 2015 to June 2023, focusing on supervision, policy, and competition, with responsibilities including consumer law and advising on resolution and insolvency issues. Previous legal experience includes roles as a Legal Adviser at the Competition and Markets Authority and the Office of Fair Trading, a Professional Support Lawyer at Lovells LLP, and a Pupil Barrister at Devereux Chambers. Nina began legal career as a Legal Assistant at the Court of Justice of the European Union after earning an LLB with Law and Spanish from The University of Edinburgh. Additional education includes postgraduate diplomas in Economics for Competition Law and Translation, as well as a CELTA certificate from the University of Cambridge.
