Ivy de Groot is a Graduate Engineering Geologist at Fairhurst since October 2022. Previously, Ivy served as the Interim Insights Coordinator for the University of Portsmouth Students' Union, where responsibilities included overseeing the development and operations of the Insights function and leading various projects to fulfill the union's strategic objectives. Ivy also held the position of Research and Insights Assistant, focusing on data gathering and analysis. Experience as a GIS Technician at Cyient involved using custom GIS software for land change detection assessments. Earlier roles include Barista/Kitchen Assistant at cafe66, enhancing customer service skills, and serving as President of the Aberdeen University Boxing Club, where Ivy progressed from secretary to captaincy. Ivy holds a Master of Science in Geological and Earth Sciences from the University of Portsmouth and a Bachelor of Science in Geography and Geoscience from the University of Aberdeen. Additional education includes A levels in various subjects from Christ The King High School and Sixth Form Centre.
