James Messer has a wealth of experience in finance and accounting, starting with their role as a Senior Accountant at Ernst & Young from 1987 to 1989. James then worked as an Accountant at Tredegar Industries, Inc. from 1990 to 1991, followed by a position as an Accounting Research Analyst II Officer at Signet Bank from 1991 to 1997. Messer then joined Fort James Corporation as a Lead Financial Reporting Specialist from 1997 to 1998. James then worked as a Financial Controller at Richmond Redevelopment and Housing Authority (RRHA) from January to March 2022, and they are currently employed as the Finance and Accounting Director at Fahrenheit Advisors.
James Messer attended Virginia Commonwealth University from 1983 to 1987, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. Their field of study throughout their time at the university was focused on Accounting.
