Dan Mooney is an experienced professional in the baseball industry, currently serving as the Senior Director of College Recruiting at Baseball Factory since May 2004. Mooney was originally drafted by the Chicago Cubs in the 40th round after high school but opted to pursue collegiate athletics, playing as a catcher at Brevard Junior College before continuing their education. Prior to their current role, Mooney was a player for the Boston Red Sox from June 2000 to October 2003, participating in teams such as the Lowell Spinners, Augusta Greenjackets, and Trenton Thunder. Mooney holds a BA in Communications from North Carolina State University and an AA in General studies from Eastern Florida State College.
