Erik Lee has work experience as a Taxonomist at Factor starting from August 2022. Before this, they worked as an Associate at Taxonomy Strategies for six months in 2021 and was unemployed in 2020 from October until January 2021. Erik previously worked at Zappos Family of Companies as a Taxonomist for three years from 2017 to 2020, as a Junior Taxonomist from 2015 to 2017, and in Customer Loyalty Team from 2007 to 2015. Before joining Zappos, they were a video editor at Penguin Magic for four years from 2003 to 2007.

Erik Lee completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Film/Cinema/Video Studies from the University of Nevada-Las Vegas in 2003. Erik then pursued a Master of Science degree in Library and Information Science from the University of North Texas from 2012 to 2015. In 2015, they also obtained a Graduate Academic Certificate in Digital Content Management from the same university. Erik has also obtained multiple certifications from various institutions, including Udemy, GoSkills.com, and AIIM International, in areas such as Python, SQL, Design of Experiments, and Taxonomy and Metadata Specialist.
