Susan Akbarpour is a seasoned entrepreneur and investor currently serving as Managing Partner at Candou Ventures, where significant investments have been made in consumer-centric technologies across various sectors. As Chief Product Officer and Co-Founder of CIMA, efforts are directed towards enhancing transparency in fund management. In addition, Akbarpour holds leadership roles on the Board of Directors for KQED and Facenote and is actively involved in initiatives promoting diversity on corporate boards through the NYSE Board Diversity Initiative. Akbarpour is also a founder of Democracy 3.0, a non-profit aimed at supporting community organization without the constraints posed by major social media platforms. As a visiting faculty member at HARBOUR.SPACE, Akbarpour teaches courses on product design and alternative financing models, while also contributing to the Stanford GSB through the Akbarpour Aalaei Fellowship, which aids Farsi-speaking students.
