Joe Azure has worked in various engineering roles since 1998. Joe was Engineering Director and Chief Architect at Noosh Inc. from 1998 to 2001, then Director of Engineering at Pixo Inc. from 2001 to 2002. Joe was Senior Software Architect at Openwave from 2002 to 2004, then Director of Developer Tools & Core Technology at PalmSource from 2004 to 2005. Joe was Manager of Debugging Technologies and Tools at Apple from 2005 to 2007, then Founding Engineer at MyByk from 2007 to 2008. Joe was Senior Engineer at Garmin International from 2008 to 2013, then Senior Engineer at Strava, Inc. from 2013 to 2017. Joe was Principle Software Engineer at Fabric Genomics from 2017 to 2020, then Senior Director of Engineering from 2020 to 2021, and currently serves as Vice President of Software Engineering at the same company. Additionally, they have been Principal at Joe Azure Photography since 2010.

Joe Azure attended Stanford University from 1986 to 1990, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering/Engineering Management.
