Geoff MacKay is an accomplished executive with extensive experience in the biotechnology and therapeutic fields. Currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer of Fable Therapeutics since May 2023, MacKay focuses on advancing biologics through machine learning and protein engineering. As Chairman of the Board for Satellos Bioscience Inc. since December 2019, efforts are directed at addressing degenerative muscle diseases. MacKay's prior roles include Founder, President & CEO of AVROBIO, where a lead gene therapy asset was sold to Novartis, and founding CEO of eGenesis, Inc., specializing in CRISPR-Cas9 gene editing. Their leadership history includes significant contributions at Organogenesis and multiple board positions, including Chairman of the Board for organizations such as the Alliance for Regenerative Medicine and MassBio. MacKay's career began at Novartis focusing on immunology and transplantation after earning a degree from McGill University.
