Karen Van Der Moolen serves as the Program Manager for Sustainability at HU University of Applied Sciences Utrecht since January 2022 and is a member of the Fab City Collective since September 2017, contributing to a global initiative focused on sustainable urban living. Previously, Karen held various leadership roles, including Director of Alliances at the Data- and Knowledge Hub Healthy Urban Living and Business Partner Digital at ROM Utrecht Region. From 2020 to 2021, Karen directed the SMART agenda at the Economic Board Utrecht and played a pivotal role in project development and Maker Education at Waag from 2009 to 2020. Additional experience includes project management at Fabchannel and various roles in commercial organizations, along with a strong educational background in New Media, Digital Culture, and Intercultural Communication from renowned institutions.
