Michael Morales has extensive work experience in IT compliance and auditing. Michael is currently serving as the Director of IT Compliance at EZCORP, a position they have held since February 2022. Prior to that, they worked as the IT Compliance Manager at EZCORP from May 2021 to January 2022.

Before joining EZCORP, Morales worked at Quanta Services, Inc. as an IT Compliance Manager and IT Compliance Lead Analyst. In these roles, they collaborated with key stakeholders and supervised multiple compliance reviews. Michael also provided consultation and advice on SOX compliance requirements and facilitated compliance with internal control standards.

Morales gained experience in risk assurance and IT auditing as a Senior Associate at PwC. Michael participated in integrated and financial statement audits, performed IT general control testing, and worked with various ERP systems.

Earlier in their career, Morales served as the President/Owner of Visor Business Solutions, Inc., where they developed close working relationships with clients and participated in SSAE 16 SOC Type II engagements. Michael also worked at BDO Puerto Rico, P.S.C. as an MIS Manager/IT Auditor and at Kevane Grant Thornton as an IT Auditor, Accountant, and IT Consultant, focusing on compliance audits and ACH compliance.

Morales began their career as a Senior Accountant at CPA Daniel Barreto, where they performed various accounting functions and implemented and maintained network infrastructure. Overall, Morales's experience encompasses IT compliance, auditing, risk assurance, and accounting.

Michael Morales has a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) degree in Accounting from Universidad Del Este. Michael also holds multiple certifications including CISA, CISM, CISSP, CRISC, CEH, CFE, and others from institutions such as ISACA, EC-Council, and ISC2.
