Rick Whitney has a strong background in executive leadership and construction management. Rick has experience working with various companies, including Exyte, Adolfson & Peterson Construction, M+W Group, Texas Instruments, US Army Corps of Engineers, and U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. In their most recent role, Whitney served as the Executive Vice President at Exyte, starting in November 2019. Prior to that, they were the CEO for the Americas division of Exyte from April 2017 to November 2019. Rick also held the position of CEO at Adolfson & Peterson Construction from October 2014 to October 2016. At M+W Group, Whitney served as President & CEO from July 2008 to September 2014, COO from April 2002 to July 2008, and Director of Construction from June 1997 to March 2002. Rick began their career at Texas Instruments as a Project Manager from December 1983 to May 1997. Whitney also has military experience, having served as a Major in the U.S. Army Reserves from May 1984 to June 1994 and as a Captain in the U.S. Army from September 1978 to September 1983.
Rick Whitney attended The Citadel from 1974 to 1978, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Civil Engineering. Rick then went on to study at the University of South Carolina from 1980 to 1983, completing a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) with a focus on Finance and Financial Management Services.
