Mariangela Panniello is a Research and Innovation Manager at EXUS, a position held since October 2023. Prior to this role, Mariangela served as a Marie-Sklodowska Curie Fellow at the Italian Institute of Technology from October 2021 to October 2023 and as a Postdoctoral Research Scientist at the same institute from October 2019 to October 2021. Mariangela also held a Postdoctoral Research Scientist position at the University of Oxford from December 2016 to October 2019, where research focused on the complexities of the brain through studies of perception, learning, and memory using optical and electrophysiological techniques. Initially, Mariangela worked as a research assistant at the Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia in 2011. Education includes a DPhil in Physiology, Anatomy, and Genetics from the University of Oxford, a PhD in Molecular Biophysics from Scuola Normale Superiore, an MSc in Molecular Neurobiology from Universit¨¤ di Pisa, and a BSc in Biological Sciences from Alma Mater Studiorum ¨C Universit¨¤ di Bologna.
