Erich VonHeeder has extensive experience in technical writing. From 2019 to present, they are working as a Principal Technical Writer at ExtraHop. Prior to that, they worked at EMC Isilon from 2014 to 2019 as a Principal Technical Writer, where they managed multiple projects and created documentation for hardware platforms. From 2011 to 2014, they were a Senior Technical Writer at Isilon, responsible for creating documentation for hardware platforms and complex operating systems. Before that, they worked as a Technical Writer at Lumedx from 2008 to 2010, creating documentation for a healthcare information system. From 2006 to 2008, they were a Technical Writer at MedManage Systems, updating procedural documentation and overseeing document review processes. Erich began their career as a Claims Specialist at Providence Health and Services from 2002 to 2006, where they developed and edited legal and clinical communications.

Erich VonHeeder earned a Bachelor's degree in Theatre/Theater from Whitworth University in 1994. Erich later pursued a Master's degree in Technical Communication at the University of Washington from 2002 to 2005.
