Alexander Birmingham started their work experience as a Software Development Engineer at Marchex in 2009 and worked there until 2012. Alexander then moved to Serials Solutions and worked as a Senior Software Development Engineer from 2012 to 2013. At Serials Solutions, they spearheaded the development of SOA using SpringMVC and wrote an API client with cross-service exception propagation and type-safe deserialization. In 2013, they joined ExtraHop Networks as a Senior Principal Software Engineer. Alexander worked as a Team Lead and Principal Engineer on the product firmware and later joined the architecture team.
