Gary Turner is a seasoned fiber engineering professional with extensive experience in the telecommunications industry. Currently serving as a Senior Fiber Engineer at ExteNet Systems, Inc. since November 2019, Gary oversees fiber engineering functions across the South Central and Southeast regions, focusing on route design and cost estimation for RFPs. Previously, at Zayo Group from July 2012 to November 2019, Gary advanced from Senior Fiber Engineer to Manager of Fiber Engineering, leading a team of 20 engineers and managing fiber connectivity across 14 states. Gary's career began at AboveNet from June 2000 to July 2012, where responsibilities included training new team members and managing various engineering documents, following an earlier role at Verizon Business from May 1995 to June 2000 that involved developing fiber communications systems. Gary holds a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Technology from Texas A&M University-Commerce and has completed studies at Richland Community College.
