Malissa Iannone Akay is an accomplished retail executive with extensive experience in merchandising and management. Currently serving as EVP Stores and Chief Merchandising Officer at EXPRESS since 2019, Malissa has previously held significant positions at Lane Bryant as EVP GMM and SVP GMM from 2016 to 2019. Prior experience includes roles at Ralph Lauren from November 2012 to October 2016, where Malissa was Chief Merchandising Officer and SVP, as well as positions focused on merchandising in the APAC region and accessories. Malissa's career began at DFS Group Limited, where responsibilities ranged from Director for LVMH brands to merchandise management roles in various sectors. Malissa holds a degree in Marketing with a minor in Retail Management from Santa Clara University, earned between 1995 and 1999.
